Haun, Rolland Charles Passed peacefully on June 24, 2012 due to complications from an accident. Beloved husband of Margaret Hanford Haun (nee Cowdry) and the late Patricia Ann Haun (nee Gould); Loving father of Charlene (Scott) Kozloff of Charlotte, NC, Charles Haun of St. Louis and Julia (David) Schaffner of St. Louis; Loving step-father of Howard Park of Washington DC, Catherine Park of St. Louis and Nathaniel (Kelly) Park of St. Louis; Cherished grandfather of Patricia Eleanor, Simon and Alexander Kozloff, Samantha and Jonathan Schaffner, Ellen and Caroline Park; Dear brother of Patricia (Harry) Bradley and uncle to Allison and Anthony Bradley and great-uncle to Naomi and Nadia Lara and Charlie Rios. Rolland was known for his love of travel, studies abroad, exotic food, and his Native American Choctaw heritage. He had a passion for history and was a professor at the Battle Creek, Hillsboro and Florissant Valley Community Colleges for a total of 45 years. Rolland had a soft heart for stray animals and an unbridled generosity for those in his life. Rolland was also a veteran of the United States Army. Services: Visitation 4-8pm Friday June 29, 2012 at JAY B. SMITH Funeral Home 7456 Manchester. Memorial service 10am Saturday June 30, at Maplewood United Methodist Church, 7409 Flora Ave. 63143. Interment Saturday 3pm graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City Mo. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of Missouri. Tributes at jaybsmith.com
