It was in the late 70's when I first met my hero, Dr. Michael Freiman. Thanks to his amazing work in the field of infertility, I have my now-33-year-old daughter, who is the mother of my wonderful 18-month-old granddaughter. What joy he made possible in my life. I can't imagine how many times over the years I've told friends about my gratitude and respect for him. He was simply the best doctor I've ever had. His humor, his compassion and his expertise undoubtedly touched hundreds if not thousands of lives. I will never forget him. He was one of a kind.

My deepest condolences to Dr. Freiman's family on their loss. Dr. Freiman was the most wonderful doctor I've ever had, creating a standard to which I've held all others - and few have been able to live up to him. He will be sincerely missed, and always remembered. Thoughts and prayers to you. Liz Sterbenz

Dear Mrs. Freiman and family, Dr. Freiman was my doctor, and I thought the world of him. I just learned of his death from the wonderful news article in the St. Louis P-D, where I learned more about this impressive man. I remember when he told me he was retiring that I was both happy for him and sad for myself to lose him. He was going to get to do more roller blading (I was impressed!) and cooking (which he seemed to enjoy). Please know you have my deepest sympathy. Linda Truman

Michael was an amazing man with a superb intellect who knew precisely what to do in any given situation; he was truly a man with a quest and a deep desire to understand; I am sure we shall all miss him dearly and to Sari and her family I send my most heart felt sympathies at this time of loss; but as Michael would I am certain say Tomorrow is a new day with new challenges.
