It's hard to sum up my feelings for Shirley. She was a dear colleague and mentor, the ideal librarian (I attribute the mushrooming of computer technology to the fact that they stopped making librarians like Shirley) as well as friend and occasional therapist. Along with my sympathies I'd like to express my gratitude. Goodbye Shirley, and thanks.

What a shock her passing is, and what a loss. Dear cousin Shirley connected us to an earlier St Louis.
