Virgil was such a giving sweet man. He helped me with the Christmas Meal Program for several years and my volunteers enjoyed working with him. I am sorry for your families loss of a wonderful kind man.

We called our friend a "reniassance" man. Virgil was an artist, a poet and an historian but he was interested in soooo many things!
We knew him for over 10 years, had met Scott and one or two other faamily members and came to know how much his family meant to him.
We chanced to meet a fellow traveler in Ireland who knew and respected Virgil Paulding of Ballwin, Mo!
Virgil will be missed at the center, by friends and family and especially by us. We loved him. Chuck and Pat Brawner, Wildwood, Mo.

The words that describe Virgil (as if any would ever fully suffice) are gentleness, caring and curiosity. Uncle Virgil was an observer and a story-teller. He had a love of art and intellect. Above all he was kind. Sometimes kindness and reserved nature are overlooked, but they are sorely missed when they are absent. Thank you Virgil. To my cousins, my sympathies are with you. I know you are all aware how all of us were enriched by your father.

Christopher, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I know how it is to lose a father. From the stories you have told me about your dad, he was a great man. I know he did a great job raising his son. Love ya.

Dad,
Your patience always amazed me; your creativity and sense of invention inspired me.
Love and obligation to family always came first. From fishing & camping to building kites and everything in between, you left us with countless treasured childhood memories. Those combined with a clear sense of fairness helped to make us the people we are today. Subsequently, any lives that we, your children affect in a positive manner reflects directly upon you and the guidance you provided. You will be sorely missed.
With all my love, Christopher

My dearest Grandpa... even though I didn't see more of you, you don't know what a mentor you were to me growing up. You were the smartest man I knew, the man who taught me that just because a crayon was broken didn't mean you didn't use it and that wonderful creations could be drawn with a broken crayon. I passed that down to my daughter and to my grand children. You were the man who helped my daughter make a Mayflower boat out of wood. I regret not spending more time with you. I will always regret it. I know you are in a place free of pain now. I lost contact information for Scott & family. I'm going to make more of an effort to reach them because life is too short. I will love and miss you always.
