Sanden, Virginia W. (nee Wood) Gini passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Loving mother of Jake, Jeffrey (Deborah), and Michael (Christine) Dieffenbach. Dear grandmother of Judson (Mollie), Allison (David), Anne (Nathan), and Jacob. Dear great-grandmother of 3. Preceded in death by her husbands Albert Dieffenbach, Sr. and Kenneth Sanden and by her daughter-inlaw Carolyn Dieffenbach and her sister Doris Gilmore in 2003. Born in Washington D.C. on February 6, 1919, Gini graduated from the University of Maryland and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She moved to St. Louis in 1956 where her husband Al became a partner in the firm Ernest & Ernest. A resident of Kirkwood and Ladue, she was co-chair of the Greater St. Louis United Way (residential division) and co-chair of the Camelot Charity Auction. For many years, Gini served as a hospital volunteer at Children's Hospital and as a member of the Women's Auxiliary Board. She was also a member of the Founder's Society of Washington's National Cathedral. Services: Memorial Service at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 110 N.
