Pollard, Walter Frank Born Feb. 13, 1914, died April 23, 2014 at 100 years old. Beloved son of the late Robert and Hazel (nee Edom) Pollard, dearest brother of the late Mary Ellen Pollard, dearest husband of the late Maxine (nee Lamar) Stark and the late Peggy (nee Swann) Pollard. Dear father and father-in-law of Scott (Bev) Pollard, Michael (Sue) Pollard, Paul (Geri Stallman) Pollard, Nancy (Matthew) Andrew, and Vickie Pollard. Dear grandfather of Scott (Bea) Pollard, Kelly and Amy Pollard, Tracy (Gregg) Hill, Christa (Michael) Castellano, Elliott (Elise) Pollard, Alex and Jack Andrew. Dear great-grandfather of Matthew, Vincent, Marissa, Trevor, James, Clayton, Tommy, Eddie, and Maximus. Dear great-great grandfather of Wyatt. Walter owned Stentor Tool and Mfg., Central Metal Processing, and Crown Machine Co. He loved golf, but his first love was fast pitch softball. He was a catcher for 1200 ballgames. He was a former president of Normandie Golf Club and a longtime member of Norwood Hills Country Club and the Missouri Athletic Club. Walter was on the board of the Variety Club that brought the telethon to St. Louis and was Chief Barker in 1968. He was Governor of the Mid States Cosmopolitan Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Order and a Shriner. Dear brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.
