Fialka Jr., William Bill F. 88, Independence, MO., formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away Sept.15, 2013. Services: A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1st at St. John's United Church of Christ, in Chesterfield, MO, with a reception at the church following the service. Bill was born Jan. 3, 1925 in St. Louis and graduated from Webster Groves High School before earning a degree in accounting from Washington University in St. Louis. He was a partner in the Fialka-Meyer Certified Public Accounting firm, served as President of the St. Louis Chapter of the Missouri Society of CPA's, was a member of the National Association of Accountants, and was an active member and officer in the Webster Groves Chapter of the Order of DeMolay. After retiring Bill found a new vocation volunteering for the Circle of Concern in financial operations for many years. As a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Chesterfield, MO, he volunteered in numerous positions. He and his wife loved to travel around the country and he was a student of history È especially the Civil War. Bill is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years Rita Dudeck Fialka, of the home; son Bill Fialka and wife Denise, Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren Megan Biram and husband Cory, Washington, DC; Andrew Fialka and wife Katie, Athens, GA; Erin Wear and husband David, and great-grandchildren Emery and Campbell, Kansas City, MO.
