Hungerford, Marian Green Marian Green Hungerford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Beloved wife for 40 years of Richard C. Hungerford. Marian was born in St. Louis, December 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Betty Rosen and John J. Green. Mother of Catherine H. Stone (Jim) of Denver, CO and Jeffrey M. Henley and Thomas R. Henley (Kim) all of Dallas, TX; grandmother of RW and Josh; twin sister of Betty Sims and sister of Caryl Simon. Marian is a graduate of Mary Institute (now MICDS) and Washington University School of Fine Arts. She was a member of the Junior League of St. Louis. Marian's lifelong passions in addition to her children, were her art and her singing. She was an accomplished and extremely talented painter. Many of her portraits hang in St. Louis corporate offices. She was honored by the St. Louis Artist Guild. She sang with the Larks and the String of Pearls for over 30 years entertaining residents at retirement centers and nursing homes. She adored all animals, especially her horses and her dogs. She will be remembered by her family as a lovely, gentle woman, full of fun with a smile for everyone and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services: Family and friends may meet at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City, on Thursday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Funeral procession will depart Lupton's at 10:30 a.m. to Bellefontaine Cemetery, 4947 West Florissant, for a graveside committal service conducted at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Louis Artists Guild, 2 Oak Knoll Park, 63105 or to MICDS, 101 N.
