Zeis, Bernadine 83, passed away at her home in Bonita Springs, Florida Thursday, March 27. Bernadine was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A, Zeis Jr. and is survived by her beloved children, Terry White (Steve), Doug (Kathy), Jeff (Marta) and Kathy AuBuchon (Joe). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Bryan White (Candace), Christopher White (Liz), Laura Brand (Nick), Matt and Kristen Zeis, Ann, Art and Jack Zeis, Kevin, Paul and Mary Kay Martin and her great-grandchildren Jackson and Elaina White. Dear sister, dear aunt and friend to many. She was born on January 24, 1931 in St. Louis to the late Frank and Agnes Klein, together with her identical twin sister the late Justine Picker, and is also survived by her sister Shirley Wnuk and brother Richard Klein (Janet). She was a proud graduate of St. Elizabeth's Academy. Bernadine and Arthur were married in 1951. After raising their family in St. Louis, she and Arthur exchanged St. Louis grey for Florida Gulf Coast blue upon his retirement in 1992. Mrs. Zeis will be remembered for leading a full and joyful life centered on family, including many summer weekends at the lake as hostess nonpareil on The Boatel. Together with Arthur she enjoyed golf, travel, attending sports including her favorite Mizzou football, good conversation, a competitive game of cards, innumerable dinners out with friends and loved ones and in later years, devouring several books a week between visits from family including grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services: Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8 at BOPP CHAPEL, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clement Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Road, Des Peres. Interment St. Peter Cemetery.
