Raymond Jacob Ott Obituary
Ott, Raymond Jacob 88 years of age, Chesterfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2014 after a brief illness. Ray was born December 12, 1925 in St. Louis county to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Ott. He is predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Horlacher and Elizabeth Walters, and his wife of 55 years, Joan Elizabeth Ott (nee Valha). He graduated in 1949 from Westminster College after serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Merrick during World War II. He was a banker for over 40 years beginning his career with the old Bank of St. Louis then with Central Bank of Clayton and later Boatman's Bank of Chesterfield and Overland. He is survived by two children, Kathryn Souders (Donald) and Robert (Cindy); six grandchildren, Lisa Grove (Lonnie), Thomas Souders (Krista), Meredith Souders Lester (Bryan), Carolyn Souders Kiser (John), Danny Ott (Natassia) and Jacky Ott, and six great-grandchildren. Services: A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri, where he and Joan will rest side by side. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to gather Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. in the rear of the Administrative Building immediately on the right of the entrance.
