Eldon Eugene Blust Sr. Obituary
Blust, Eldon Eugene Sr. formerly of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014 at his home in Seneca, South Carolina. He was born July 19, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Irma Emma Katherina Kiefer and Emil Henry Blust. He was a retired executive of the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Mid America, Inc. of Lenexa, Kansas and an avid private aviator. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Margery Jane Lumelius Blust , and sister, Shirley Irma Blust Davies. Mr. Blust is survived by his daughter, Bette Joy Blust Meeker, his son Eldon E. Blust Jr. and daughter-in-law Marsha Paige Deaton Blust, of Seneca. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Stephen Scott Blust, Robin Lynn Blust Kinman, James Dylan Roberts, and Diane Ashley Roberts Wagner. There are ten surviving great-grandchildren. Services: The family will receive friends at The Lupton Chapel, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City on Friday, May 23, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The procession will depart Lupton Chapel on Saturday morning, May 24, at 9:30 a.m. to Sunset Memorial Park, 10180 Gravois Rd, Affton, for a graveside committal service conducted at 10:00 a.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Louis or to Operation Wildllife, 23375 Guthrie Road, Linwood, Kansas 66052.
