Sandra L. "Sandie" Taylor Obituary
Taylor, Sandra L. Sandie of Las Vegas, NV baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection Wednesday, June 4, 2014. A native St. Louisan, Mrs. Taylor passed away suddenly in Las Vegas after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jack, sons Christian and Daniel, daughter Margaret and grandson, Iain Taylor; brother Alan Tairent of Gallatin, MO; sisters Mary Brandt of Weldon Springs and Judie Clifton of St. Charles, brothers-inlaw, sisters-in-law and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Growing up in St. Louis, Sandie graduated from Incarnate Word Academy and attended the School of Fine Arts at Washington University. She served as the executive assistant to the director of the Advertising Club of Greater St. Louis and after rearing her children in Carrollton in Bridgeton, became executive secretary to the director of development at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She moved to Las Vegas with her family in 1994 and served as the executive assistant to the director of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Assn. until her retirement in 2012. And although she became an adopted Las Vegan she never lost her passionate fandom for the Cardinals and the Blues or her concern for the Bridgeton community as a founding member of the Bridgeton Air Defense. In retirement, she enjoyed her favorite hobbies, creating original jewelry, counted cross stitch, interior decorating her home and spending as much time as possible with her grandson, Iain.
