Arvil W. Wrigley Obituary
Wrigley, Arvil W. Life-long Collinsville resident, Arvil W. Sonny Wrigley, died on Friday, August 1, 2014. He was born on April 18, 1922, eldest son of William H. Wrigley and Estelle Krause Wrigley. He enlisted in the Navy in 1941 and served at naval facilities across the U.S. and in the South Pacific. For his work on Collinsville civic projects, Sonny received the Studs Terkel Humanities Award, the Spirit of Excellence Award, and the Irving Dilliard Distinguished Service Award. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert L. Wrigley, and his sister, Bette Ann Bruns, and is survived by his wife, Betty; his daughter, Kathryn Wrigley; son, Robert Wrigley; grandchildren, Adam Rucker, Philip Wrigley, Jordan Wrigley, Hannah Rucker, and Jace Wrigley; a great-granddaughter, Annabel Kunzeman; as well as nieces and nephews.
