Bernice Grumich Obituary
Grumich, Bernice It is with great sadness that the family of Bernice Grumich announces her passing at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014, at the age of 98 years. She was born in St. Louis on December 9, 1915, to William J. Sr. & Anna (Eichmann) McMillin. She grew up with her younger brother, William, surrounded by her close extended family. She married William A. Grumich Sr. on November 30, 1935. They were best friends and the loving, devoted parents of their six children, during their 53 years together. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents William & Anna McMillin, husband William A. Grumich Sr., son William A. Grumich Jr., and her brother William J. McMillin Jr. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Marie Grumich, Sister Virginia Grumich SSND, Mary Ann Brusca Mahon, Joseph Grumich, Michael (Kathleen) Grumich, and daughter-inlaw Phyllis Grumich. Bernice was a loving grandmother to 17: Consuelo Grumich, Jennifer (John) Doucette, Deborah Wukitsch, Kristina (Steve) Duncan, William III (Emily) Grumich, Thomas Grumich, Kathleen Brusca, Mark (Tina) Brusca, Steven Brusca, Michael Brusca, Maureen (James) Schafer, Colleen (Art) Harris, Flora (Debbie) Montesanto, Annalisa (Diana) Grumich, Ryan Grumich, Mark Grumich, and Elizabeth Grumich. Her 13 great-grandchildren are Cole, Allison & Grace Wukitsch, Devyn Seavert; Kaitlyn, Kailey, & Madison Duncan; William IV & Kathleen Grumich; Madison Brusca; Adriana & Lauren Schafer; and Lila Harris. Services: Friends and relatives are invited on Thursday, August 21 to the STYGAR Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO from 4 to 8 for the public. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 22 at All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenemy Road, St. Peters, MO. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the School Sisters of Notre Dame or Masses are preferred. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the Bethesda Southgate facility for their support and care provided to Bernice. www.stygar.com
