Sigel, Owen Sutherlin was born in Olney, IL on March 20, 1945 to Loretta and John Sutherlin. He died on October 10, 2009. He was a 1962 graduate of Cumberland High School in Greenup, IL. Following graduation he attended DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago receiving his degree in 1963. From there he went to work at McDonnell Douglas as an inspector. From 1972 until 1985 Sig owned and operated the Standard Oil on Highway 79. He then opened his business Sig's Automotive on Elaine Drive in O'Fallon, MO. Sig was a charter member of the Boone Trail Corvette Club and was a member of the O'Fallon Elks. He was also an avid race fan and loyal supporter of the Football Cardinals and the Rams. He is survived by his children John Franklin Sutherlin of Glendale, MO and his daughter Susan DeAnne and her husband John Howard of O'Fallon, MO, his sister Harriet Carrell of Greenup, IL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, John and Melissa Sutherlin of Tallassee, AL, Lindsay and Alexa Sutherlin of Glendale and Zachary and Madison Howard of O'F allon, MO as well as his three great grandchildren, Christopher, Devin and MariJane and his loving companion Polly Dryer of Lake St. Louis, MO. Services: Memorial Service Thursday October 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. at PAUL Funeral Home. Gathering Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home. The family invites friends to attend a celebration of life to be held at Sig's Automotive at 5 p.m. on October 15, 2009.
