Langenbach, Jane L. (nee Ruckstuhl), 89 years, January 6, 2010. Devoted wife for 67 years to her Roosevelt High School sweetheart, the late George Langenbach; preceded in death by her father Dr. Urling C. Ruckstuhl, her mother Louise B. Kuhns and her step-father Albert W. Kuhns. Dearest mother of Joan (Roy) Robinson, Judy Longbrook and John (Debbie) Langenbach; Omi to Jim Robinson, John (Susan) Robinson, Jeff (Gretchen) Sturm, William (Maria) Sturm, Jessica and Alexis Langenbach; greatgrandmother to Luke and John Henry Robinson, Charlie and George Sturm; sister to Captain John B. Ruckstuhl (deceased) and William (Geri) Kuhns; aunt to Julie and Jason Kuhns; cousin to Marguerite Calhoun, Charles H. Beckers (deceased) and Helen L. Conrath (deceased); sister-in-law to Jack (Louise) Langenbach. Jane met the love of her life in high school but went to New York to pursue a career as a professional ice skater. George went after her and they came back to St. Louis to marry and begin a life together. Jane was a voracious reader which led her desire to travel. She and George traveled to Europe, China, Russia with their good friends and then began trips in their motor home they called Precious. Jane was the hand-in-hand partner to George throughout their marriage from driving the trailer for the midget race cars they owned to encouraging him to invent which led to the most notable being the Perma-Jack System. She will be missed by all of us. The family would like to thank the staff at Lutheran Convalescent Home and the LLS Hospice, especially Little Bits for the kindness and caring shown to Jane and to us.
