Obituary Condolences

Spink, Edith Jenkin passed away at her home in Ladue on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. She is the widow of Charles Claude Johnson Spink II who died in 1992. She is survived by two nieces and numerous cousins. Mrs. Spink served as the Mayor of the City of Ladue from 1975 until 1995. Edie and her husband were generous supporters of numerous St. Louis cultural and charitable institutions. Services: The service for Mrs. Spink will be conducted at The Episcopal Church of St. Michael and St. George, 6345 Wydown at Ellenwood, Clayton on Monday, June 27 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Spink Family Mausoleum at Bellefontaine Cemetery. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Zoo Endowment Trust for the Spink Endowment Fund, the St. Louis Art Museum Foundation for the Spink Endowment Fund or to the Church of St. Michael and St. George for the Spink Endowment Fund.
