Thompson (nee: Link), Loving father of Mary (Edward) Oswald; Susan(James) Norris; Jan Thompson; Gregory (Martha) Thompson and Michael Thompson. Dear Grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 33 and great-great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of Adele Friedrich; Frank (Virginia) Thompson and the late Steve and Hazel Thompson; and Harold Friedrich. Our dear uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin and friend. John served during WWII as a Tec. Sergeant in the Army Air Force 33rd Troop Squadron Carriers, received 2 Bronze Stars, Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a man of many talents, a Dr. of Chiropractic for 50 years, 35 plus years with T.W.A as lead mechanic line chief. Services: Funeral Thursday, August 18, 10:30 am from BUCHHOLZ SPANISH LAKE MORTUARY, 1645 Redman Rd. to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (10285 Ashbrook) for an 11am Mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to the Heartland Hospice would be appreciated. VISITATION WED. 2 TO 9 PM.
