Carpenter, Kurt August 22, 1975 - December 15, 2011. We pray for comfort knowing that Kurt is at peace in the house of our Lord through Christ's resurrection. He had a strong but soft heart, readily making new friends while eager to assist others along his journey in life. Our memories will be of a competent young man with a golden smile. Kurt moved with his family to the St. Louis area from Redmond, Washington in 1986 attending elementary school in Chesterfield, graduating from Lafayette High School in 1993. As a youth Kurt excelled in sports; soccer, baseball, golf and snow skiing and had a love for motorcycles. He is survived by son Michael and daughter Emily and their mother Tricia who reside in in Arizona; his parents Don and Vicki Carpenter, brother Chad and wife Kelly, nephews Luke and Will all of the St. Louis area; Grandmother Nettie Carpenter, Derby Ks., Grandfather Ray Baughman, Paola, Ks.; aunts, uncles and cousins who have all been most supportive throughout the years. In lieu of flowers/if desired contributions in Kurt's memory can be made to: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of St. Louis: 10801 Pear Tree Ln, Suite 110, St. Ann, Mo. 63074-1400.
