Penny Kammeier Obituary

Kammeier, Penny Jo (nee Klein) Penny Kammeier, Director of the Zion Child Development Center of Zion Lutheran Church, Ferguson, passed away May 6, 2012 after a battle with cancer. She was born September 12, 1945. She is preceded in death by her husband Mike and parents, Josephine and Louis Klein, sister Beverly Carroll and in-laws, Ken and Maxine Kammeier. She is survived by her beloved friend Sue Dunham and Genevieve Voegelie, sister and brother Jackie (Alan) Sandifer, Terry (Debbie) Klein and brother and sister-in-laws, John O. , Gus (Karen), Tim (Diane), Becky (Kurt) Klotzer and Beth (Chuck) Grob. Penny was godmother to Rene' Kammeier-Harden and beloved aunt and great aunt of many. Also, beloved friend Chris, Dan, Hannah and Molly Garrison. She was active in her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi and longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church and River's Edge Via de Cristo. Penny and Mike had no children of their own, but as Director of the Zion CDC she touched the lives of thousands of children and their parents. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Zion CDC. Services: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, May 12 at Zion Lutheran Church, 123 Carson Road.
