Ruth Motisher Selfridge

Obituary Condolences

Selfridge, Ruth Motisher went with the angels on May 31, 2012. Ruthe, as she was known, was born in Sewell, NJ, where she met and married George Satch Selfridge on February 21, 1947. They both entered the Navy life, where she became a strong supporter of her husband's Naval career, as well as the cornerstone of their family. Ruthe was involved in many of the Naval Dental organizations culminating in her election as President (1970 - 71) of the Navy DC Wives Club. Ruth(e) means, companion, friend, vision of beauty and that is how her friends and family will always remember her. Ruthe leaves behind her husband of 65 years, George D. Selfridge, her three daughters, Pamela S. Ruane (William), Kimberly D. Schaffer (Mason Lee) and Cheryl S. Townsley (John), and two granddaughters, Chelby M. Townsley and Cramer M. Townsely. Services: Memorial service at Manchester United Methodist Church, Monday, 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Parkinson's Association. Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com
