Steven B. Gabriel Obituary
Gabriel, Steven B. July 31, 2012. Steve was born April 9, 1946 to Max and Pearl Gabriel in Rock Island Ill. Survived by his beloved wife Suzanne and sister, Judith Pattison and eighteen nieces and nephews. He will always be an inspiration to them as well as to his forty seven great nieces and nephews, and one great, great nephew and one great, great niece. Steve received his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico and his master's degree at Purdue University. He had a very analytical mind and shared his talent with many of us. He served in three tours of active duty during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy. After his service Steve worked at Sverdrup/Jacobs for his whole Engineering career, which included many travels abroad and nationally. He was passionate about the outdoors including boating, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and tennis. He was also passionate about photography. Working on his photos and researching his family heritage was important to him. He had many more interests including the piano, gardening, board games, and target practicing. Services: A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:00 pm at BUCHHOLZ Mortuary West, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Mo 63017.
