Pelton, Frank E. Pete III Age 71, of Pasadena, CA passed away peacefully at his home on September 13, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Pete was born January 11, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to Dorothy Lee Culver and Frank E. Pelton, Jr. He attended Princeton University after graduating from Culver Military Academy as a fourth generation of the founder. He was a Naval Aviator during the Vietnam War flying C-130s and later a senior flight instructor. Following the Navy he began his career as an investment advisor and continued to enjoy his work until his death. He cared deeply for his clients and employees throughout his long career. Pete was a talented and generous man whose friends and family loved his sense of humor, passion for life, and unwavering work ethic. He had a great fondness for jazz music and a love of train travel. He was well known for his way with words, often supplying fabulous poems for special events of his friends and loved ones. One of his greatest joys in life was planning and spending time at reunions of his extended family, where he presided for many years as the beloved patriarch. He will always be remembered as a selfless and dedicated man who loved life and was an eternal optimist, always caring about others. He is survived by his loving wife Sara Jennings Pelton, Pasadena, CA; his children Christopher Pelton of St. Louis, MO, Alexander (Eva) Pelton of Springdale, UT and Penelope Pelton of Princeton, NJ; his grandchildren Matthew, Kerry, Genevieve and Sophia.
