Christopher William Lenzen Obituary
Lenzen, Christopher William died suddenly on Thursday, August 15, 2013, Feast of the Assumption. Chris will be missed but never forgotten by his mother and father, Bob and Polly Lenzen, his brothers Kyle and Cory, his sister (in-law) Hilary, and his grandmothers Delores Lenzen and Evelyn Metzger. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers Bob Lenzen and Bill Metzger and uncle Scott Metzger. Chris was adored by his 21 aunts and uncles and 25 cousins. Chris had a loyal group of friends about whom he cared very much, including Olivia Dames. He had a special way of including and comforting all those around him regardless of age, social group or ability level. Chris touched so many lives and his last gift to the community was his organs. With his confidence and talent, Chris excelled both academically and athletically, but his greatest passion was competitive sports which he began when he was three years old. Chris continued to play baseball and basketball through his senior year at Marquette High School where he won, among many awards, his most coveted honor: Award for Excellence for Exemplary Display of Sportsmanship, Ethics & Integrity. Chris, our thoughts and prayers will always be with you. We are so proud of the man you became in your short time with us. No matter who you lose this week, stay strong. Because I can guarantee they will not forget you. - Chris Lenzen on August 12, 2012 Services: Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, 230 Santa Maria Dr Chesterfield, Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
