Bumb, Lawrence H. age 84, died peacefully Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Loved son of Martin and Barbara Bumb (nee Koch); Beloved husband of Joan Bumb (Harris) and the late Ramona L. Bumb (nee Robards); loving father of Lawrence V. Bumb, the late Ronald Bumb, Richard (Denise) Bumb, and Donna (Bill) Gibson; dear stepfather of Ron (Mary Pat) Harris, Rick Harris, the late Robert (Donna surviving) Harris, and Julie (Joe) Foster; outstanding Pa Pa of Matthew Bumb, Caroline Bumb, Christopher (Alexa) Gibson, Erin (Mark Valdez), Andrew Gibson, Gina (Steve) Gianikos, Anthony (Karen) Bumb, and Joshua Bumb; fond stepgrandfather of Ronnie Harris, Kelly (Jamie) Iken, Nathan Foster, Jenna Foster, Jamie Harris, and Ryan (Rachel) Harris; great grandfather of six, including the newest arrival, Madison Marie Valdez. Much beloved youngest brother of the late Vera Bumb; the late Martin (the late Edith) Bumb; the late Elmer (the late Norma) Bumb; the late Vincent Bumb; and the late Barbara Corcoran (the late Bill). Our dear uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend of too many to count, especially his nephewfriends Mike Bumb, Dennis Corcoran, and Kevin Corcoran, and his niece-friend, Barbara Kay Svejkosky. Former President and co-owner of Piros Signs, Inc.; former officer of the former Art's Boys Club, and a founder of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St. Louis Chapter; former Trustee of the former Village of Peerless Park, MO; and U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. The Ol' Pardner was a master of the barbecue pit, an avid bogey golfer, and a longtime snowbird at the Siesta Bay Resort, Fort Myers, FL. He was a good egg, an authentic person. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Monday, Oct. 21, 11am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Siteman Cancer Center appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-9pm.
