Deubner II, Charles N. passed away on October 16, 2013, in the company of loving friends and family. He was 88 years old. Chuck was born on August 19, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa to Charles and Helen (Tobin) Deubner. He served in the US Navy, both World War II and the Korean War, and graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Phyllis (Greisinger) Deubner in 1946. After three years in Corpus Christi, Texas, Chuck moved with his family to St. Louis in 1958, and was the General Superintendent of Maintenance at Monsanto's Krummerich Plant in Sauget, IL until his retirement in 1986. He was an avid golfer and tennis player, and he enjoyed his many adventures hiking in Europe. He was preceded in death by Phyllis, who passed away in 2002. He is survived by his son, Charles Nathaniel (Lori) Deubner III, his daughters, Janice K. Pyatt, Sally (Ron) Plachy and Mary Baisch; dear grandfather of Joe (Nicky) Pyatt, Scott Nicholas, Kate (Greg) Hall, Charles IV, Andrew and John Deubner; dear great-grandfather of Jacob, Caleb and Colin; loving companion of Marjean Davis; our dear cousin and friend. The family would like to offer special thanks to BJC Hospice and Provision Living at Webster Groves for their care and kindness. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Monday, October 21, 9:30 a.m. to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-7 p.m.
