Bolliger, Walter Ulrick Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013 at the age of 95. Walter was born in Granite City, Illinois and was the youngest of 8 children. Out of high school he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII as an aircraft navigator. Upon completion of his military service, he went on to have a successful career in the savings and loan business, finishing his career as President and CEO of Roosevelt Federal. He was very active in the St. Louis community with various organizations to include the Shriners Hospital, Salvation Army/The Tree of Lights, Kiwanis, and Director of the United Way as well as a strong presence at Bonhomme Church. Upon retirement he and Dorothy, his wife of 49 years, moved permanently to Scottsdale, AZ . In 1996, his wife Dorothy died after an extended battle with Parkinson's disease. In 1998, he married Marian Hurd. He is survived by his four daughters with Dorothy - Mary (Fred) Bruning, Susan (Hal) Miller, Kathy (Mike) LaMonica and Margie (Charlie) Medelberg, 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, with one on the way, his wife, Marian, of nearly 15 years, stepson Chris, and stepdaughter Lucinda. Services: Memorial service to be held at Bonhomme Presbyterian Church, 14820 Conway Rd. Chesterfield, MO on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00am with reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations to The Salvation Army are appreciated.
