David was a gentle soul, always cheerful with a smile on his face. He could hear the most horrid of tales and still project optimism and hope. In a profession known for confrontation, he was an oasis of calm. I will think of him fondly.

David was a kind and generous man. He had a huge heart. He helped many people with no thought of receiving anything for himself other than knowing that he had done a nice thing. We have lost a gentle soul and he will be missed. I will remember David with great affection.

I was saddened to read about David's passing. David was more than an outstanding teacher. He was a brilliant educator and a wonderful human being. I was one of his first students in the MEA program and learned a lot. I also took other courses from him before obtaining my degree. He was the type of teacher and person who could influence your life, and he had a profound impact on mine. We stayed in touch for many years. This past Christmas as I went thru my Christmas card list, I made a note that I wanted to touch base with him in 2015. However this is not what I had in mind. My condolences to Ginny, Liza, Diana, and the entire family. You were a true inspiration David. Thank you for what you meant to me! Peace.
