My sincere condolences. Bill hired me to work for SSD, many years ago. He was good with all kids, but perhaps best with the toughest kids. He worked to make a difference, and he did. The world will miss him.

I extend my sincerest sympathies on the loss of your dad and grandfather. I worked with him in his first years at SSD. When he and your mom married, they were my neighbors at the apartments on Cinnamon CT. I have fond memories of both your mom and dad. I know you will miss him.

Bill was always supportive of his staff and looked for the best in everyone and every situation. He was my Director as SSD and then my principal at Ritenour. He will truly be missed.

Scott and Beth, I just learned tonight of your dad's passing and was saddened to hear it as he was taken much too soon. I too have fond memories of our cul de sac in Kirkwood when all you kids played together in the street and we adults drank and talked over bar b que and pot luck on Fri nights. Loved watching all of you kids when you were little and always enjoyed your mom and dad. They were wonderful friends and great neighbors. I am sorry we lost touch over the years and my heart goes out to you at this very difficult time. I can't imagine Tim and Meghan losing both parents at your ages. That is heart breaking. Mr. Korte was my principal throughout my high school years at Ritenour. He was a kind man who genuinely cared about the students. He always offered a warm smile upon our arrival each and every day. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers reach out to all of Mr. Korte's dear family and friends.

So sorry to hear that Bill has passed. He was one of the finest leaders at SSD and I will remember him with fondness. Our years at SSD together were productive and fun. What a great human being. So sad he is gone.

What a blessing Bill was to so many students as well as their parents at Ritenour High School. For those family, friends and loved ones that survive him, it is with great pride and joy that you remember him and receive comfort knowing that he lives on in the countless lives he's touched and impacted. Scott , Beth and family. So many fond memories of times shares with your Dad and Mother around a little cul-de-sac in Kirkwood. All of us starting our families, working hard to make ends meet and usually hanging out on the weekends with neighbors sharing recipes and beer and often pot luck dinners. Memories are many. Scott, I remember the day you were brought home and loved so much. Beth you were by far the apple and twinkle of their eyes. the miracle baby. God certainly was present in their lives. Bill and Marsha were neighbors and good friends in Kirkwood, MO. as we "young folks" began our families and careers. We loved both of them very much and enjoyed fellowship, laughter, and good food on many occasions. Bill will be missed and remembered fondly. Our sympathy to Scott, Rachel, Beth, and Paul.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and I always would talk to him when I walk my dogs around the block I looked forward to seeing him out on the front porch so we could talk he always made me laugh And he like to listen to my boring stories and always made me feel as they were important and listen about my kids he always would tell me exactly what you and Scott were doing His face lit up when he talked about you and Scott -we would talk about your mom and how damn funny she was when she taught me at Rosati kain -they are up there joking and making each other laugh --Now God can be smiling and laughing a lot more with them both together

Bill was not only a wonderful Father, but he was a wonderful mother when our dear friend, Marsha, passed away. The one thing I so enjoyed was getting sound, honest advice without the preaching. Mom and I sure will miss whistling at you while cutting the grass, sitting in your chair looking over your glasses and paper but most of all, the smile that would light up your face when you talked about your family. We promise dear friend to always be there for Bethie or Scott if they need anything

I worked with Bill at Ritenour and will always remember him trying to get me to come and work for him at the high school. He would always say "I have an office for you." He always had a smile and a joke.

Mr. Korte was a kind and compassionate principal. One time I was sent to his office for mouthing off in class. We ended up just chatting and having a great time. He was very friendly, always had something nice to say to make you smile. The world needs more fair and sympathetic authority figures like him. He will be missed.
