Robert E. "Bob" Audrain

Audrain, Robert E. Bob 81 of Granite City passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at his home. Bob was born on December 15, 1934 in St. Louis County, Missouri; a son of the late John A. and Catherine P. (April) Audrain. Bob was a supervisor and salesman at Shenandoah Bakery in St. Louis and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a huge golf fan and a member of the Indian Mounds Golf Club. He will be remembered for his kind heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends. He is survived by and will be missed by his children; Diana Sue and (Stephen) James, Babs and (Joe) Mindak, Robert Bob Audrain, Julie and (Jimmy) Montgomery, Kelly and (Roland) Triska, John and (Shelly) Audrain, Angelia Angel and (Tony) Taormina, Timothy Tim and (Paula) Audrain, Christina Cris Audrain, Catherine Cathie and (Blake) Walden, Tom and (Barb) Mindak, Dolores Dodie and (Roger) Jungk, Rosann and (Greg) Brockman; son-inlaw, Joe Derleth; sisters, Angie, Jackie, Joyce; sister-in-law, Dottie; 32 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife; Nellie Mae (Smith) Audrain, whom he married on April 3, 1954 and his daughter, Tammy Derleth. Services: Friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of his life, services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Clint Wisdom officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
