Albert Lebowitz Obituary

Lebowitz, Albert of University City, MO passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on September 24, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. He is predeceased by his brother Simon and sister Rose and is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Naomi, his son and daughterin-law, Joel and Julie, his daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Drew, and his two grandsons, Joshua and Graham. A native of St. Louis, Albert attended Washington University before serving as a lieutenant and navigator in the US Air Force during WWII. Subsequently, he attended Harvard Law School. Albert practiced law his entire professional life in a number of different capacities, including his work as General Council for NCI corporation and his work for the law offices of Donald Schlapprizzi. He was a published writer of four books: ¢IºLaban's Will, The Man Who Wouldn't Say No, A Matter of Days¢/Iº, and ¢IºThe Legal Mind of the Presidency. ¢/Iº Albert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and was a wonderful role model. He was an avid reader, Cardinals fan, and dog-lover, and he will be remembered especially for his brilliant mind, playful humor, wonderful curiosity, strong ethics, tireless tenacity, and independent spirit. He was a larger-than-life character who leaves behind many warm memories and priceless stories. Services: The family invites friends and loved ones to attend a reception in Albert's memory at The Washington University Whittemore House at 6440 Forsyth Blvd., Clayton, MO on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm.
