Sorry I am nearly 6 years late in expressing my condolences. I just got around to checking the internet and found your mom's obituary. I remember great conversations with her at some of the Torpedo Squad reunions, especially the one we hosted in Grand Rapids, where strictly coincidentally there was an exhibition called "A League of their Own" at the G.R. Ford Museum.
BTW, my dad died a couple of months before your mom passed. The greatest generation.

My condolences to the Lafser Family. Audrey was a nice neighbor who gave me and my sister rides home from after-school sports. I always think of her when I watch "A League of Their Own" and never knew she had played 2nd base. The good character of her children is a tribute to her.
