Wesley F. Landmeier Obituary
Landmeier, Wesley F. 94, of Kaneville, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on January 9, 1919 in Elk Grove Township, IL. He was the son of the late Alfred and Meta (Schoppe) Landmeier. Wesley is survived by his son, Lester (Joyce) Landmeier of Big Rock; his daughter, Valerie Landmeier of Sugar Grove; his four grandchildren, Julie (Curt) Moon of Mooresville, NC, Jason Landmeier of High Ridge, MO, Heather Landmeier of Sugar Grove, Hilary Landmeier of Chesterfield, MO; his 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler Moon, Alexis and Joshua Landmeier and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lucille M. (Jaacks) Landmeier; his sister, Marian (Oehlerking); foster brother, Leonard Cain, and special friend, June Toft. Wesley's family would like to thank his caregivers from Visiting Angels especially Ena Carlson for her love and dedication. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. July 23, 2013 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. July 24, 2013 at the English Congregational United Church of Christ, Third and Rhodes, Big Rock, IL. Interment will take place at Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to English Congregational United Church of Christ, 301 Rhodes St., Big Rock, IL 60511.
