Ola I. Player, 71, of Galesburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Sturgis, a daughter of Charles and Orretta (Krontz) Schrader. She had been a resident of Galesburg, Niles, South Carolina and, for many years, White Pigeon. She was a graduate of Centreville High School.
She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Shipshewana, Ind., White Pigeon Church of Christ and women's groups of the church. She was a homemaker and cared for many children.
On March 10, 1966, she married Charles H. Player in Centreville. He died July 28, 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Sara O. Player of Angola, Ind.; three grandchildren, Anna, Jeremy and Steven; two great-grandchildren, Cody and Jeremy Jr.; two sisters, Leslie Pappas of Burr Oak and Mary Davis of Iron River; two brothers, Charles Schrader and Jimmie Schrader, both of Centreville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Edith Davis; and three nephews.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 11 a.m. Pastor Duane Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
