Mr. Floyd Ray Eichorn, age 87, of Three Rivers, formerly of Marcellus, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Three Rivers Health, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 7, 1931, in Clarence, N.Y., a son of the late Lewis and Ida (Troyer) Eichorn.
Floyd had been a longtime resident of this area, where he and his wife and family spent many days working the family farm. Floyd and Marnetta were self-employed carpet-layers and worked together for 18 years. Floyd was a faithful and verdant member of Edwards Corners Bible Church. Floyd loved to work with his hands. He tinkered with woodworking and even built his own mini-train set and landscapes. Floyd had a passion for visiting with friends and family and loved to tell stories.
Floyd was preceded in death his parents; a daughter, Judy Rochon; four sisters; and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife of 67 years, Marnetta Mae (Hooley) Eichorn of Three Rivers; two sons, Joseph (Pamela) Eichorn of Three Rivers and Jay (Evelyn) Eichorn of The Plains, Va.; two daughters, June Evans of Three Rivers and Jenny (William) Curtis of Marcellus; and a brother, Paul (Fran) Eichorn of Centreville.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at Edwards Corners Bible Church, 51047 Chamberlain Road, Marcellus, with Pastor Joshua Wiggins officiating.
