Joseph (Joe) H. Huebner, of Missouri City Texas, formerly of Jasper, IN, died at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas at 5:50 am, Monday, August 13, 2012. He was 57 years old.

Joe was born on November 15, 1955 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Lester and Laura Ann (Eversman) Huebner. Both parents are deceased.

He married Debbie Potter on May 9, 1992 in Houston, Texas and is survived by his wife.

Joe is also survived by four brothers, Lee Eric, Jim, John, and Leonard, all of Jasper, and two sisters, Julie Braunecker of Jasper and Jan Dolan of Elmhurst, IL.

Joe was a graduate of Jasper High School, Class of 1974. He was a prominent athlete and lettered in football and track. Joe was a member of the mile-relay team and he also ran the 440 yard dash for Jasper High. He also received many designations for his football achievements, including All-Conference, All-State, and was the first Jasper High football player to receive an All-American designation.

Joe followed his high school football career to the college level, by signing with ButlerUniversity in Indianapolis, IN, where he was also a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Later, he transferred to Southern Illinois University where he graduated with a maxillofacial degree in 1978 and began his career at a dental lab in Bloomington, IN.

In 1982, Joe moved to Texas, where he purchased a dental lab business in the City of Stafford.

Joe and Debbie traveled extensively on worldwide trips she won as a top insurance producer at both State Farm and Allstate Insurance. Joe enjoyed cooking and the culinary arts.

Friends and family are invited to a Visitation Time on Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 14555 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 17, at 1:00 PM at the Church. Interment to follow at Morton Cemetery, in Richmond, TX. Arrangements are being handled by The Settegast-Kopf Funeral Directors @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway (Williams Trace Exit), Sugarland, Texas.
