Heather Nicole Landry, 31, died Wednesday, November 11, 2010, in Scott. Heather was a native of Vinton who lived in Scott for the last year. She attended Emanuel Baptist Church in Vinton. She owned and groomed thoroughbred race horses and was a member of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Racing Association. She was a paramedic for seven years and a dental hygenist for four years. She was the most generous, giving and caring person a young person could be. She was the light of many peoples lives. She will be missed dearly. She was a beautiful woman, but she will always be her motherÕs Òbaby girlÓ. Heather was totally dedicated to her daughter, Brooke. Her life was centered around that love. Survivors include her mother Sandra Swire; father Tony Landry and his wife Glenda; grandmother Melba Landry; grandfather Eugene "Catfish" Swire; nine year-old daughter Brooke Alece Weaver of Dallas, TX; brothers Jody Mouton of Vinton, Cody Landry, who is currently serving with the military in Iraq, and Josh Landry of Brazoria, TX.; Aunt Charmin and Uncle Craig "Poke Chop" McNeely; godfather Ernie Breaux and Aunt Deena Breaux; and nanny Cindy Landry. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Amelia Swire and grandfather Leroy Landry. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Gerard Little will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and continues from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, all at the funeral home.
