Howard Walter Siegesmund, 79, Croton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2012. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown, with Pastor Bob Riggs officiating.
Howard was born on April 14, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Irma (Woehlke) Siegesmund. He was a 1951 graduate of Hartford High School, where he played football. He lived on his family farm in Croton. He worked at Ohio State University and retired from PPG in Delaware. Howard is a veteran of the United States Army.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bernice (Buckingham) Siegesmund; his three sons Arthur (Becki) Siegesmund of Powell, Stephen (Debbie) Siegesmund of Springfield and David (Lisa) Siegesmund of New Albany; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister Jane (William) Sawvel along with nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends.
