Jeffrey Allen Butz
Jeffrey Allen Butz, 31, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning December 22, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 26, 1981, in Columbus to Jeffrey Lynn and Colleen Cecilia (Coffey) Butz. He graduated from Big Walnut High School in 2000 and was currently on the dean's list at Columbus State University, where he was studying Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury and was also a first-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. When younger, he loved anything to do with a ball and was a four-year letterman at Big Walnut High School where he wrestled. He was also an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Jeffrey of Sunbury; mother, Colleen Coffey-Butz of Columbus; sister, Nicole Lynn Butz of Blacklick; paternal grandfather, Edwin Butz of Tonawanda, New York; maternal grandmother, Mary Eileen Coffey of Calabash, North Carolina; uncles, Richard (Beth) Coffey, James (Jenny) Coffey and Barry (Connie) Butz; aunt, Beverly (David) Todaro; and numerous cousins.
A memorial mass will be celebrated today (Thursday December 27) at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 East State Route 37, Sunbury, with the Rev. Fr. David Sizemore officiating.
Inurnment will be in Trenton Township Cemetery.
