Thomas O. Wolverton
Thomas O. Wolverton, 76, Sunbury, formerly of Columbus, died Monday morning December 31, 2012, at Kobacker House in Columbus.
He was born on January 14, 1936, in Dayton to the late Giles and Anna May (Angeroff) Wolverton. He attended Christ Fellowship Church, Westerville. Graduate of Miami University of Ohio, member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and has a BA in Mathematics.
Tom loved going to activities involving his children, whether it was swimming meets, dance recitals and other sports. He also loved to travel going to California, Europe and the U.K. Tom loved Broadway Musicals and Music, reading biographies, watching movies, basketball, football, the History Channel, PBS and the Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years: Anita (Culver) Wolverton; sons: Jeffrey of Los Angeles, California, Clinton of Columbus, and Andrew of Oakland, California; daughters: Paige (David) Winikoff of Menlo Park, California, Dee Dee Paeseler of Oakland, California, and Kelly (TJ) Pinkston of Winnemucca, Nevada; grandchildren: Asher, Aaron, Kulani, Jaxson and Miranda; brothers: Robert (Freida) of Avon Lake and David of Greenville; brother-in-law: Brent (Marge) Culver of Delaware; and by a sister-in-law: Carol Wood of Galena.
Calling hours were held Friday (January 4, 2013) at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury where services were held Saturday (January 5, 2013) with Pastor David Hedrick officiating.
Inurnment followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.
