Warner Arnold Breece

November 12, 1917 — June 21, 2014

Warner Arnold Breece, 96, Sunbury passed away early Saturday morning, June 21, 2014, at the Laurels of Worthington.

He was born November 12, 1917, in Delaware to the late C.C. Breece and Brigie (Barrett) Breece.

He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy. He later owned and operated Breece's Greenhouse in Sunbury for many years. He especially enjoyed gardening and was an avid golfer. He was also a lifetime member the Sunbury United Methodist Church as well as the Knights of Pythias.

Left to cherish his memory is his son James D. (Susan) Breece of Columbus; daughters Linda (Charlie) Cox of Westerville and Rebecca (Kenneth) MacKenzie of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister Joan (William) Strohl of Delaware; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vera Louise (Bringle) Breece; brothers Cyrus, Russell, Lawrence, Howard and Donald; and sisters Florence McKee and Ethel (Reenie) Miller.

The family will receive friends today (June 26) from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, June 27 one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Celebration of Life services at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 Ohio 61, Sunbury. Burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park with military honors provided at graveside.
