Bonita R. Grove Martlage, 93, passed away peacefully at her son's home on July 1, 2013, Born September 6, 1919. to Cleveland and Alga Grove in Ohio. She married Herman Martlage June 9, 1969.
She worked for Eli Lilly & Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 252 Women's Auxiliary and Whiteland VFW Post 6978 Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, camping and boating on Lake Monroe.
Bonita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Carol Carpenter; by grandchildren Gordon Carpenter, Kristi (Greg) Gibson, Dana (Mike) McClain and Brian (Mary) Carpenter; great-grandchildren Alexandra Fenter, Evan, Ethan and Eli McClain, Heather Partlow and Ryleigh, Alex, Crystal and Andrew Gibson; great-great granddaughter Mirabella Partlow; step-children Dick (Michelle) and Buddy (Shelly) Martlage, and Cindy (Jeff) Goss and Sherry (Gale) Wilshire; by several step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Virginia and DoraMay Grove; several nieces, nephews; and by close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Dorance, Delno and Merwin Grove; and by a great-grandson Eric McCain.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Community Hospital South, University Heights Rehab and Community Home Health for the wonderful care given to Bonita.

Funeral Services were held Friday, July 5, 2013, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, Indiana.
