Danny Ray Davenport, 53, of Eutawville, SC, husband of Sheryl Page Davenport, died Thursday, March 15, 2011 at his home.
Danny was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University,
And was a retired electrical engineer from the Southern Division Naval Facility Engineering Command. Danny was co-owner of S & D Gun Shop in Eutawville and owner of D. R. Davenport, P.E. Engineering and Consulting. He was a life member of SAS (Single Action Shooting Society) and a former employee of Lieber Correctional Institution. Danny was a member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Sheryl of Eutawville; his parents Norman Ray Davenport and Georgia Warren Davenport of Gulfport; daughters, Amanda Davenport of Eutawville, and Tabitha Davenport of Clemson University, and a brother, Jerry Davenport of
Gulfport.
Visitation is Thursday March 22, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The graveside service is Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Free Church of God Cemetery, Gulfport.
