Joseph Endris Obituary
March 5, 1997 - July 7, 2014
Mobile, Alabama
Joseph Louis Endris - age 17, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee after a lifelong battle with leukemia. Joseph was a rising senior at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School where he threw shot put and discus for the track team.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Endris; grandparents, Louis and Carol Endris; uncle, Louis Endris IV; best friend and cousin, Louis Endris V; great-uncles, Eugene Endris, William Harkins (Maria), Edward Harkins (Melissa); great-aunt, Patricia Harkins; cousins, Savannah, Drew, Madison, Patrick, and Alex Harkins; lifelong best friend, Logan Roberts; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, July 11, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from Little Flower Catholic Church located at 2053 Government St., Mobile, AL on Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. with Reverend John Lynes serving as celebrant and Mr. William Harkins serving as deacon. In celebration of Joseph's life, the family will receive friends prior to the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Little Flower Catholic School Cafeteria.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joseph's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.

Joseph you will be truly missed we had classes together and ever sense the 1st day you told me you had cancer in the past and beat it, I prayed it will stay gone but my God has called you home and I love you save me a spot next to up their for when my time comes love.

I only knew Joseph in passing, in the halls of McGill-Toolen, but he seemed like a warm, considerate, brave young man. Always had a smile to share. Your family is in our prayers.

Got the sad news today...Joseph was a fine young man! With all he had going on.I never heard him complain about anything other than being told to slow down.To be around him.You would never have had guess he was sick.Always that perpetual smile. Joseph wasn't here with us very long.But he left a mark that he was here.And it was a very good one his family can be very proud of!!!

Even though it has been years since our clown group has seen Joseph and interacted with him at our shows, his very recognizable smile is still there. We are so sorry to learn of his passing. Joseph will be forever in my heart. He is one year older than my daughter Morgan. I have watched he grow into a fine young man. I know he suffered so much throughout his life. He fought long and hard always with that beautiful smile. I will keep Donna, Aunt Carol, uncle Louis, Lil Louis , uncle Gene, Louis, and Lori in my prayers. Bc I know they are hurting so deep. For the loss of a child is like no other. Joseph may you play soccer in heaven with all the angels. It was such a privilege to have had Joseph as a student in my math class this year. Always prepared, always positive, and a great friend to all of his peers. Heaven was blessed with another angel the day he was called home. Joseph and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers .

I remember Joseph from when I worked in the office at Government Street Baptist Daycare. He always had a smile on his face no matter what h was going through. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
