Mrs. Vonceil White Lety, age 78, of Moss Point passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Mrs. Lety was born and raised in Neshoba County, Miss. She attended Coldwater High School, East Central Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Lety worked for the Moss Point school district as a teacher and also as the Food Service Director for 40 years. She was an active member at First Baptist Church of Moss Point - SBC, and belonged to the Moss Point Women's Club, Moss Point Red Hat Club, Fortnightly Club, Moss Point Active Citizens Club, Young at Heart Club, and two Bridge clubs. Mrs. Lety enjoyed annual trips to the Neshoba County Fair and being retired. She loved spending time with her family and going to church, and she had a true passion for cooking and catering. She was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed. Mrs. Lety is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ross Lety. She is survived by her sons, Leslie (Kelly) Lety of Vancleave, and Jim Lety of Fairhope, AL; four grandchildren, Kristen Lety and Jacob Lety of Vancleave, Kate Lety and Abigayle Lety of Fairhope, AL; and two sisters, Belvery Duncan and Sylvia Mars; other relatives and friends. A visitation for Mrs. Lety will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS. Funeral services will follow from the funeral home chapel at 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Hope Baptist Church, Philadelphia, MS with a funeral service immediately following.
