Dorothy Graham Brown

1924-2013

Pass Christian, MS

Dorothy Graham Brown, 88, of Pass Christian, MS, the wife of Robert Ewing Brown, former Chairman of the Board and Publisher of the Shreveport (Louisiana) Times and its affiliated newspapers and broadcast stations, died Monday at Lakeview Nursing Center in Gulfport, MS after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Brown was born in Shreveport, LA and was living there when she and her husband retired in 1978 to Pass Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ewing Brown, her parents, James Merrill Graham and Annie Moore Graham; and son, Robert Ewing Brown, Jr.; as well as her sisters Annie Merrill Graham Scarborough and Virginia Graham Ratzburg.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin Brown Keith and her husband James Anthony Keith; and a son, James Graham Brown, all of Long Beach, MS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Allison Keith Boudreaux (Edward), Catherine Keith Donaldson (Brad), Susan Keith Grice (Matthew), Weston Graham Brown, Gordon Anderson Brown, Hodson Ross Brown, Christopher Ewing Brown, and Stuart Robert Brown.

Mrs. Brown is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren: Brittany, Amanda, and Colin Boudreaux; Rebecca, Margaret, Sarah, Brady, and Ashley Donaldson; and Caroline, Andrew, and Bennett Grice.

Private family services are to be conducted on Thursday in Long Beach by RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. Graveside interment services will be on Saturday in Shreveport, LA.
