Ralph Vernon Bougrand, 85, of Gulfport, MS died on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Mr. Bougrand was born in Cadillac, MI. He joined the US Army at the age of 17. He later transferred and retired from the USAF where he achieved numerous medals and honors. After retiring from the military, Mr. Bougrand worked for the Civil Service where he retired from KAFB. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #332 in D'Iberville, American Legion and the VFW. He was an avid fisherman and travelled extensively with the military. Mr. Bougrand was of the Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Winnifred Loomis; father, Curtis Bougrand, Sr.; sisters, Vivian Curtis and Beverly Mathiews, and brother, Curtis Bougrand, Jr.
Mr. Bougrand is survived by his wife, Edna Marie Bougrand; son, Jerry Bougrand; daughter, Terri Otto; step-daughter, Belinda Neeley; brother, Donald F. Bougrand; grandchildren, Katie Bougrand, Lauren and Jason Neeley; great-grandchildren, Ashton Neeley and Emily Mitchell; grand dog, Precious and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. A Celebration of Life will follow at the VFW Post 2539, 15206 Dedeaux Rd., Gulfport, MS 39503.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
