Alexis "Lex" Charles Galle Sr.

Mr. Alexis "Lex" Charles Galle, Sr. of D'Iberville died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, in Gulfport, at the age of 68, after a short battle with a rare illness.
He was a life-long resident of D'Iberville and retired from the Biloxi City School System after 25 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Lex was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Beaugez Galle of D'Iberville, his parents Bernard and Ted Marie Galle of Ocean Springs, his brother Thomas "Bo" Galle of D'Iberville, and his sister Cynthia Galle Anchor of Ocean Springs.
Survivors include his loving children, Stacey Galle Curran of Gulfport, Lex (Melissa) Galle, Jr. of Biloxi, Amie Galle Harried of Biloxi, and Sheldon Charles Galle of Saucier. He is also survived by his siblings Billie Sue Galle Lee of Woolmarket, Frank (Gail) Galle, Johnny (Becky) Galle, Michael (Noreen) Galle, and Tamrah Galle Daboussi, all of Ocean Springs, his sisters-in-law Sandra Beaugez and Rhonda Bruno, both of Bay St. Louis, his brothers-in-law Gerald Beaugez and Michael Nadile, both of San Francisco and his most cherished grandchildren Nichole Buchheit of Biloxi, Anthony Curran III of Saucier, James Galle of Ridgeland, Alexis III and Patrick Galle of Biloxi and Savannah, Madisyn, and Egil Galle, all of Bay St. Louis. He is also survived by his devoted companion Hazel Rosetti of Ocean Springs.
Lex had a special zest for life and lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed eating at his favorite restaurant "Port-O-Call", hanging out with his buddies for morning coffee, traveling, hunting, fishing and being on a ball field. However, the biggest smiles on Lex's face always came from spending time with his most precious grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 6pm until 8pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Wednesday, February 26, there will be an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Biloxi, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
