Joel M. "Pete" Beasley, Jr.

1929 ~2014


Joel M. "Pete" Beasley, Jr., 84, drew his first breath June 29, 1929 in Vancleave and breathed his last May 20, 2014 in Vancleave.

He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran who retired after 20 years of service.

As he joined his family in heaven, he leaves to cherish his love and memories his daughters, Vivian Parker (Donny) and Cindy Buckley (Perry); his sons, Jimmy Beasley, Gary Beasley, Tony Beasley and Steven Beasley; his son-in-law, Michael Dobrolet (Caroline Sue); his step-children, John Russell Tomlinson, Amy Honeycutt (Doug) and Paul Tomlinson who stepped in and became a devoted son in every way; his sisters, Earline Balius (Lester), Evelyn Whatley and Shirley Randolph; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very dear lifelong friend, Lawrence Benson.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in his honor to the building fund of the Community of Christ Church, 12205 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Vancleave, MS 39565.

Funeral Services will be held at the Community of Christ Church in Vancleave on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Vancleave #1 Cemetery.

The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
