Wilbert "Bill" E. Rutz Jr., 71, of Ocean Springs, MS died Tuesday May 27, 2014.

Wilbert retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He flew all over the world as a professional Flight Engineer for Southern Air Transport for nearly 10 years and retired after 11 years as a Reliability Analyst at Mobile Aerospace Engineering.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Rutz, daughter, Rachel Rutz Rocco and granddaughter, Mildred Perdue, all of Ocean Springs, MS; a sister, Betsy Niemczak, nephews, Michael and Thomas Niemczak and great-nephew, Eston and great-niece, Libby Niemczak, all of Sarasota, FL.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or Biloxi Veteran Affairs, Attn: Voluntary Services, 400 Veterans Ave., Biloxi, MS 39531.

Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 39564, on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
